DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are pleased to invite you to the PhD defense of Ignacio Blanco and a CITIES seminar in relation to his PhD topic.\n\nIgnacio Blanco will defend his PhD thesis on Decision-making Under Uncertainty for the Operation of Integrated Energy Systems. The PhD-study has been carried out as a CITIES Work Package 7 activity (WP7: Decision Making and Support Systems). In the morning\, the PhD committee members will give talks about their research and work related to integrated energy systems.\n\n\nNina Detlefsen\, Grøn Energi\, will tell about how to Utilize excess heat from data centers in district heating - opportunities and challenges\n\nRussell McKenna\, DTU Management Engineering\, will talk about "Some approaches to modelling low-carbon decentralized energy systems"\n\nAnd Hrvoje Pandžić\, University of Zagreb\, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing\, will make a talk about "Policies and Models for Integration of Energy Storage"\n\n\n\n\nBoth the PhD Defence and the talks will take place on 22nd February 2019 at DTU Lyngby\, Building 101\, Room S10.\n\nFurther information\, agendas and the abstract of the thesis can be found in this document: CITIES-seminar-and-PhD-defense-Ignacio-Blanco\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that a registration via email to dngk@dtu.dk before 20.
